FILING INFORMATION
BOARD OF PARK COMMISSIONER CANDIDATES 

The Consolidated Election will be held Tuesday, April 6, 2021.

At the April 6, 2021 Consolidated Election, the Wilmette Park District will have three (3) Board of Park Commissioner openings:

Commissioner (4 year term)

Commissioner (4 year term)

Petitions for candidacy will be accepted at the Park District Administrative Offices, 1200 Wilmette Avenue, beginning at 9:00 a.m. on December 14, 2020 and ending at 5:00 p.m. on December 21, 2020. 

The hours for filing petitions for candidacy with the Park District are as follows:

  • Monday, December 14, 2020 from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
  • Tuesday, December 15, 2020 from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
  • Wednesday, December 16, 2020 from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
  • Thursday, December 17, 2020 from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
  • Friday, December 18, 2020 from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
  • Monday, December 21, 2020 from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

The number of ballots cast in the April 2, 2019 Consolidated General Election was 3,782. 

The Illinois State Board of Elections has prepared the Candidate’s Guide for 2021 to provide information for candidates seeking public office. This document provides information on the proper completion and filing of nomination papers and lists the qualifications required for candidates seeking specific offices. The Candidate’s Guide is available through the Illinois State Board of Election in Chicago (312-814-6440) or through the agency’s website, https://www.elections.il.gov.

For questions when preparing nomination papers, the Wilmette Park District recommends that prospective candidates consult with an attorney with experience in election law.
