November 19, 2020
Wilmette Park District staff have been busy reviewing the new state guidelines released for Tier 3 of Phase 4. Changes are coming tomorrow, November 20. We are preparing new procedures to adapt as many of our activities and services as possible to comply with the new restrictions.
What to Expect
For the duration of the Late Fall Session, wherever possible, programs and classes will be held outside. In the case of inclement weather, classes will be canceled.
For programming that is not able to meet outside, staff will work to provide a virtual option via Zoom. Classes that require the use of materials will have supplies available for pickup at the Community Recreation Center.
Specific Information Regarding Late Fall
Because the Tier 3 restrictions will be unique to many facilities and programs, Park District staff will be communicating directly via email to all patrons who are currently registered for a program, hold an active membership or have services scheduled at this time. Specific information will be provided regarding these activities and any changes or cancelations that will be taking place.
New Opportunities Coming Soon
Within Tier 3 restrictions, Park District staff have created a variety of opportunities for recreation both indoors and outdoors. These opportunities include new options for indoor individual training, outdoor group classes, virtual programs via Zoom and Tier-3-compliant family events.
At this time, the Park District plans to keep all facilities open and operating with the necessary adjustments made to our programming. Please see below for a list of our facility customer service desk hours and phone numbers:
