Wilmette Park District
Coronavirus (COVID-19) Potential Exposure Update
As we monitor the spread of the coronavirus disease (COVID-19) daily and follow the recommendations of county and state health organizations, the safety of our patrons, participants, and staff is our top priority. It is with this in mind that the Wilmette Park District is informing our patrons of any potential exposure to the virus that may have occurred at or around our programming and facilities.
On Monday, September 28, it was reported to us that a Community Recreation Center employee recently tested positive for COVID-19. This employee was last at work on Thursday, September 24 between the hours of 11 a.m. and 8 p.m.
There is the risk that the individual may have been contagious at that time, and for this reason we are informing you of this event and encourage you to monitor your own health.
Per our reopening procedures, all facilities and supplies related to the Community Recreation Center are being disinfected. We will continuously evaluate the situation and inform patrons of any other reported cases and potential exposures.
We recognize the seriousness of the spread of the coronavirus disease (COVID-19) in our community. We urge all residents to follow the Center for Disease Control’s tips by staying home if sick; avoiding close contact with people who are sick; covering coughs and sneezes; avoiding touching eyes, nose and mouth; and washing hands with soap and water.
