Board of Park Commissioners and Standing Committees

Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the Board of Park Commissioners will be meeting virtually online for the foreseeable future. Meetings will take place at 7:30 pm on the second Monday of the month. Starting in May, the meetings will be available on Channel 6 locally for Comcast subscribers, as well as available on our shared YouTube channel with the Village of Wilmette. During the public comments portion of the meeting, public comment can be made via the YouTube Channel.

To participate in the meeting via Zoom, please download the meeting agenda from our Agendas page, and refer to the bottom of the first page for the Zoom meeting ID and Password. Information can also be found on the agenda for individuals with a disability who need special accommodations to participate in and/or attend a Wilmette Park District meeting.

If you prefer, you can email any public comment to swilson@wilpark.org in advance of the meeting and it will be read during the meeting to be a part of the record.

The Board of Park Commissioners oversees the administration of the Wilmette Park District. The Board of Park Commissioners is an independent board elected by Wilmette residents in an April election for terms lasting four years. There is no term limit to Park Board positions. The current Board members are listed below with the expiration of their terms noted.

The Board meets at 7:30 p.m. in the Council Chambers, located on the second floor of the Wilmette Village Hall, 1200 Wilmette Avenue, Wilmette. Meetings are generally held on the 2nd Monday of each month. Special meetings are scheduled as needed. Notice will be given in accordance with the Illinois Open Meetings Act for cancellation or a change in date, time, or location of any meeting.

The 2020 meeting schedule is as follows: January 13; February 10; March 9; April 13; May 11 (The Annual Meeting will be held immediately before the Regular Board Meeting); June 8; July 13; August 10, September 14; October 15*; November 9; December 14.
