    NEW Spring Pop-Up Art Classes!

    • Mosaics (4-weeks)
      Wednesdays, 4-5p.m., April 18-May 9, Room 201, Ages 9-12
      In this unique and creative class, kids will use glass, ceramics tiles and other materials as they learn the fundamentals of mosaics. We will cover basic cutting techniques, materials, design and safety principles as well as how to set tile, grout and clean mosaics. Let your little artist try a new and exciting medium - beginners welcome!

    • Art in a Day (one day)
      Wednesday, 10:15-11:15a.m., April 18 or May 2, Room 201, Ages 4-6
      Surprise! This one-day art class will be filled with awe and wonder - and we're not spilling the beans. Your child will explore a special art medium for an hour and take home a fun, creative project. A great time for you to get a hour break for a cup of coffee too!

    Summer Art Camps

    Registration opens February 6 for residents, February 13 for non-residents.

    • Arts in the Parks is a jam-packed camp for ages 5-12. Young artists are on location at the Community Recreation Center in the unique art-exploration program. Campers will work with the widest variety of mediums from paper to ceramics to plaster both individually and with the group. Additional activities include* trips to the pool, field trips, outdoor activities, gymnastics, movement classes and surprise activities. Visit our booth at the Wilmette Park District Camp Fair on January 30th from 6-8 p.m. *Activities are dependent on the section of Arts in the Parks camp.
    • Young Rembrandts Late Summer Art Camps are designed to fill the last dog days of summer with creative fun! Six part day camps offer participants flexibility and a variety of topics such as Curious George, Cooking & Baking, and Superhero Cartooning.

    NEW Spring Pop-Up Dance Classes!

    • Dance With Me! #423243
      Saturdays, 9-9:15 a.m., Age 4-7 with adult companion
      Parents/Guardians, break out those sweatbands and leg warmers! This special Spring Pop Up class is for dancers to take with an adult! We will focus on basic dance technique lessons as well as learn fun and upbeat choreography to perform in our June Recital! Participants will have a blast learning this art form together and create some very memorable on stage moments complete with matching t-shirts! Don't be shy, come and get your groove on! This class will participate in the June Recital. Fee includes tuition and t-shirt for recital costume. Participants must be the minimum age by January 1st, 2018 and accompanied by a parent/guardian.

    Summer Dance Camp

    • Dance Camp is where it's at! Whether you are a seasoned dancer or someone who loves to move and grove, this camp offers technique, choreography and style for all levels. Between classes, campers will have lessons in nutrition and fitness, hair and make up, gymnastics, free swim at Centennial, and opportunities to create choreography for the end of session performance. Surprise pop up activities round out this full day camp. Pop by the Dance Camp booth at the Camp Fair and see what we are all about!

    Summer Theatre Camp

    Broadway Bound
    Newly announced Camp Orientation on Saturday, June 16 from 10am to Noon at the Community Recreation Center.

    Registration opens February 6 for residents, February 13 for non-residents.

    • Broadway Bound is the full theater experience in four weeks. Campers and staff undertake auditions, casting, rehearsals, costuming, set design and construction, staging, choreography, music rehearsals, technical theater, and final productions.
