Our Youth and Tween Dance Recital Classes begin in January, and run through the spring session. Look for a fresh set of classes in our summer program guide.
Age 15 months-2 1/2
An independent class for our youngest dancers who love to move! With exercises designed around expression through movement, we prepare them for future dance classes by teaching basic steps, classroom etiquette, listening and dancing to different music styles/tempos, all within a fun and supportive environment! Attire: leotard, tights, and pink ballet shoes. Skirts or tutus optional. Please note: this is not a parent and child class. Friday mornings or Saturday afternoons

GoghStudents of various skills levels learn the fundamentals of painting and various painting techniques with a variety of mediums. Beginners and experienced painters are welcome in this class! Wednesday afternoons
Come enjoy the beauty and grace of classical ballet! This class will cover basic ballet positions, steps and vocabulary with a focus on the student’s awareness of proper posture and body alignment. Standing barre work and center floor exercises will be given to enhance coordination, strength, balance and flexibility. Participants will also develop a sense of musical awareness and movement quality. No prior ballet experience necessary. Ballet shoes required.
Tuesday afternoons
Have you always wanted to learn how to tap? Join in the fun of tap dancing! Exercise your body and mind while learning a variety of tap dance steps and choreographed routines. All levels welcome. Tap shoes required.
Friday evenings
The Ballet Barre, of course! This class will focus on strength, core, flexibility and focus by combining both ballet and Pilates. Basic ballet techniques at the barre and across-the-floor steps are the first half of class, then we move into Pilates for the second half. Adults: sign up for this class while your child is across the hall taking a ballet class of their own! Ballet shoes recommended, otherwise socks or bare feet. Floor mats will be provided if you do not have one of your own.
Saturday mornings
Beginners learn the fundamentals of piano, such as the layout of the keyboard, keys, notes and hand positioning. As students progress, goals will include memorization, increased reading skills, and a wider exploration of more complex songs. Select your class time online when registering.

Tailored for students of all ages and skill levels, violin lessons use a combination of techniques as appropriate to each student including Suzuki, traditional or a combination of both. Select your class time online when registering.

Students of all skill levels and interests are taught the basics of guitar with instruction on chords, songs, how to read notes, time signatures and scales. Each lesson is 30 minutes, tailored to the level and interest of the student, and explores styles such as rock, alternative, blues, folk, jazz and classical. Guitar rentals are available through the Ultimate School of Guitar at 773-508-9443. The instructor will contact you individually to schedule lessons.

Private voice lessons are taught with care for developing the singing voice with a focus on resonance, breath control, intonation, development of high and low registers, vowels and vocal expression, as well as reading music and rhythmic practice in a variety of styles. The student will explore various genres of repertoire, allowing the discovery of his/her voice, and learn how to prevent damage to the vocal cords. Each 30-minute private singing lesson focuses on both technique as well as application to a song in order to prepare the student for performance. Select your class time online when registering.

Each 30-minute private lesson is structured to personally meet the needs of the individual student. In each lesson, Wendy includes audition coaching, monologue selection and preparation, character development and personalized tips on how to build and maintain confidence and stage presence. Wendy will contact you individually to schedule lessons.
