Our community engagement phase of Project Parks and Play is off to a great start, and we've already received wonderful ideas, opinions and suggestions to guide our strategic and master plan! Thanks to all who attended our first Open House and focus group, and who have shared ideas on our project website.

Coming up next:

PUBLIC OPEN HOUSE
DEC. 10, 10 AM-NOON
Community Recreation Center
3000 Glenview Rd.

Share your input in person! Bring the kids- we'll have a supervised activity for them as you share your ideas in person with us.

OTHER WAYS TO ENGAGE
We’re working hard to meet every lifestyle, schedule and communication preference so that everyone can participate to help shape the future of the Wilmette Park District. Can't make it to an Open House? Not to worry - we have plenty of equally effective ways to get involved!

PROJECT PARKS AND PLAY WEBSITE
Now through Thursday, December 15, share your thoughts in a variety of ways on our Project website
here! On the site you'll find:

  • Spaces and Places – use the map to drop a pin with your input!
  • Share your Ideas – post comments on the Ideas Wall map.
  • “the Wilmette Park District is….” What three words describe us best?
  • Not a Park District patron? We want to hear from you, too! Complete our survey, designed just for you.

IDEA WALLS
Now through November 27:
at our facilities, interact with our fun idea walls and let us know what you think!

FOCUS GROUPS
If you’re interested in sharing input during an in-person focus group, please fill out an Interest Form
here.

  • The deadline to submit interest for focus groups scheduled after December 1 (two possible dates; see form) is December 6.
  • Participants will be selected at random, with consideration to demographic equity.

Contact Us to share feedback, ask questions and be a part of the conversation.
