Train with professional dancer, Sidney Chuckas in this unique masterclass opportunity! The workshop will include technique study in turns, balance, and jumping; learning a fun new combo and practicing improvisational dance; professional tips on dance-specific injury prevention, auditioning, and conditioning; hear about a day in the life of a professional dancer and what it’s like to be part of a professional company; and finish with a live Q & A.

Sidney Chuckas (he/they) creates, advocates, and educates through their art spanning the fields of dance, architecture, music, and technology. Born in Chicago, IL, Chuckas’ life experiences, professional dance career, and experience in visual arts have led them to dive deeply into their larger mission to restore, amplify, and preserve the voices of the individuals he creates with. As a current dancer with Ballet BC they have performed works by Sharon Eyal, Marco Goecke, Crystal Pite and Medhi Walerski, premiered roles in works by Dorotea Saykaly, Shay Keubler, Johan Inger, Roy Assaf, and Out Innerspace and commercially danced for Brandy, Chance the Rapper, and Paris Jackson.
