Children will have a great time learning a collection of fascinating tricks from the “Magic Team of Gary Kantor”! Amaze everyone with tricks that involve cards, ropes, coins, etc. Take this class again and again, since new tricks are taught every session! Children also get a magic set to take home.

This interactive class has everyone on their feet! We all learn together while engaging in active, creative, music-based activities using rhythm instruments and movement props. All class procedures are designed to keep staff and students safe. Age-appropriate activities include songs and rhymes, rhythm and coordination, fine and gross motor, imagination and sensory, listening and following directions skills. Sing, dance, play, learn and imagine with us!

[Chicago Loves Dance]
Under the creative direction of skilled Chicago Loves Dance breakdancers, students will learn choreography and poses to show off their creativity in freestyle sessions and more. Chicago Loves Dance believes that dance should open your child’s creative abilities and be FUN! They take pride in teaching the self-esteem and socialization skills needed in everyday life through the activity of dance and performance. The last day of class is a parent watch day, where dancers will perform to show off their new talents. Tuesday late afternoons

[Chicago Loves Dance]
We supply the mats; all you need to do is come ready for some yoga and stretch! Under the creative direction of skilled yoga instructors who have designed this class for the comfort level of both you and your child, we learn poses, movements, stretches and, most importantly, spend quality time together. A parent is not mandatory; any adult/guardian is welcome to attend with your child. Add an additional child to the class for $40. Sunday mornings

[Chicago Loves Dance]
This class is run by professional yoga instructors from Chicago Loves Dance. In this class, participants learn beginning yoga movements, terms, and yoga-based games to make learning fun. Yoga in childhood is wonderful for improving listening skills, building self-esteem and supporting social and emotional learning. We supply the Yoga mats.

Under the direction of Chicago Loves Dance instructors, Students will practice yoga and learn poses and stretches the first portion of class. The second half of class learn cheers as well as poms choreography in this upbeat class. They will learn 3-4 new cheers, work on form, as well as add on to their poms dance routine. The last day of the class will be a parent watch day where they will do a short performance.

Does your child love to learn? Looking for a way to keep your mind amazing this summer? Come see what exciting, educational activities Amazing Minds has to offer! Amazing Minds offers a variety of interactive topics that will expand your child’s knowledge of the world. For example, your child may become a junior geologist and explore the world of rocks & minerals, investigate owl pellets, or experiment with chemistry through interactive games and scientific experiments. We’ll go on a five senses nature scavenger hunt and examine our findings under a microscope. We’ll “travel” around the world and learn about rare Australian animals, excavate hidden treasures from an ancient Egyptian tomb, or sample ethnic cuisine from China or Italy. We’ll dive deep into the oceans and swim with sharks, whales and dolphins plus other exciting creatures in our animal kingdom. We’ll explore all this, and more! All materials are included.

No previous knowledge of Spanish is necessary. Learning Spanish is as easy as uno, dos, tres! Current research has found a positive link between learning a second language and cognitive and academic ability. In addition to developing a lifelong skill to communicate with people from other countries and backgrounds, other benefits include improved overall school performance and stronger problem-solving skills. In Afterschool Amigos Spanish club, children will learn numbers, colors, shapes, greetings, days of the week and more. We will be singing, clapping, and counting our way towards learning the Spanish language.

Let your dog do what she’s genetically programmed to do–search for, and find, scent. Nose Work builds confidence, teaches creative problem solving, and provides mental exercise. Build your relationship with your dog while having fun doing something your dog will love! Dogs are crated when not working, therefore dogs who don’t love other dogs will enjoy this class. In this advanced class, we work on complex hides including interior, vehicle, exterior and container searches. Dogs must be crated or behind a barrier when not working in class.
