Notes:

  • No class dates: May 10-15 & May 31
  • Learn-to-Skate Rental: $35
    At this time, skate rental is only available for skaters in a learn-to-skate class. Registered skaters in a learn-to skate Spring Session class may rent skates to keep for the full class session. Please mark your child's skate size during online registration. Skates must be dried after each use and brought home with you. Skates must be returned after the last scheduled class of the session. If skates are not returned, a $100 fee will be issued to your park district account.

Toddler I
Age 3
Toddlers begin by learning to fall correctly and get up alone. Balance and self-confidence are stressed. We introduce forward skills with an emphasis on balance and self-confidence.

Pre-Alpha
Age 6-13
The focus of this entry-level class is on two-foot and one-foot forward glides, forward and backward swizzles, and general balancing techniques. This class is tailored for skaters with no or limited skating experience, and is designed to teach
the basics of skating in a safe and encouraging fashion.

This program includes power skating and edgework geared for hockey speed and agility, with and without the puck.
