Create an original design that conveys your own interpretation of anti-idling such as cleaner air for a healthy environment\, saving energy by saving gas\, or whatever it means to YOU! Join the Wilmette Park District\, Village of Wilmette and more during this FREE and unique opportunity to explore trucks of all types all in one place. Inspect the equipment\, meet the men and women who operate the big rigs and learn how they help us in our community. Attendees\, both young and young at heart are allowed to touch\, climb\, and ask questions about their favorite trucks in a safe\, supervised environment. \nTrucks may include buses\, plow trucks\, utility vehicles\, tractors\, loaders\, sweepers\, mowers\, fire and tow trucks\, pressure washers\, spray rigs\, and other service vehicles. \nSensory Friendly Start: 10-10:20 am\nPlease do not blow horns or honk the vehicles for the first 20 minutes of Touch A Truck to allow our noise-sensitive participants time to enjoy the event. \nThis event takes place in the parking lot of Centennial Recreation Center (2300 Old Glenview Road).  \n\nHave a truck or specialty vehicle you’d love to showcase? Whether you’re a seasoned lifter or just want to challenge yourself\, this event is all about strength & fun! You’ll have three attempts to complete your heaviest bench press and see who will be this year’s champion! \n\nMay 16\, 9-11 am\nAt the Center Fitness Club’s Functional Training Room\nRegistration Fee: $20\nAge 14 & up\n\nRegister at the Fitness Desk – registration closes 5/11! Age/gender divisions will be assigned after registration closes.
