Grade 6-8
An opportunity for campers to Lead and Explore through Adventure and Purpose this summer, each session of Teen L.E.A.P. will run in 2-week increments from 6/10 – 8/2. Campers will develop their leadership skills through hands-on activities such as team challenges, ropes course, outdoor adventures, interactive and creative workshops as well as participating in Service Projects within our community. Teen L.E.A.P. camp includes trips to the pool, Gillson Beach, and one special activity day a week which may include a special guest or off-site trip. Each session offers different unique experiences.
Age 3-5
Aloha! In this day camp, preschool travelers will immerse themselves in a new culture each week through dance, crafts, music, stories, and a variety of other activities. Campers should be able to attend independently and be fully toilet-trained. Looking for a full week of camp? Alternate Little World Travelers Camp with Preschool Dance Camp for a full week of fun (see below for options)!

If you have a curious kid who likes to mix, build, tinker, and create, Camp Innovation is their spot for STEM and summertime fun. We’ll explore a wide variety of science and math-based themes, including explosions, slimes, design challenges and more. Campers will also experience beach days and field trips, alternating weekly, with additional onsite visitors throughout the summer to add extra fun to this camp with a STEM twist!

Grade 1-4 as of the 2024-2025 school year
Junior Day Camp is loaded with outdoor activities that include group games, sports, theme weeks, free swim & swim lessons, beach visits, and a weekly field trip! In between structured activities, campers will have free choice options & the opportunity to wind down with counselors and fellow campers.

Looking for a great introduction to dance for your aspiring young performer? Our daily schedule incorporates several dance genres, including ballet, hip hop, jazz, and improv, while setting aside time for a snack break, fairytale-of-the-day, and crafts! Double the fun by pairing Preschool Dance Camp with Little World Travelers!

Grade 1-4 (“Mini”) and 5-8 as of the 2024-2025 school year
Each session of this performing arts camp is jam-packed with acting, singing, dancing, lighting, audio and stage crew activities that culminate in a full-length junior production, complete with costumes and set! Theme days, outdoor games, cast parties and pop-up activities round out this spectacular theatrical adventure! No experience is necessary, and campers receive equal opportunity to perform, or work behind the scenes.

Each week, artists will use a variety of mediums to create new projects, while also attending field trips, studying famous artists, engaging in movement breaks and going to free swim at Centennial Family Aquatic Center!

Dancers of all levels will partake in daily technique classes that focus on alignment, flexibility, coordination, strength and self-expression in major dance styles including Ballet, Jazz, Tap, Hip Hop and some surprise genres! Our instructors will teach original choreography as well as guide dancers to create their own dances, culminating in two performances for family and friends at the end of the session! We’ll also venture off site to visit Centennial Family Aquatic Center and attend a professional performance!

Explore the newest art trends in this unique crafting camp! Each week, we’ll dive into a different kind of creative project – from upcycled jewelry to macramé, weaving, wall art and dream catchers…we pick our projects based on what’s popular and exciting!

It’s Great Gillson, reimagined! We’ll explore Gillson Park while engaging in a wide variety of activities along our lakefront. Get ready to make life-long friends and memories as you swim, sail, venture out on field trips, and are inspired by our “Thursday Thrill” events!

Grade 4-8 as of the 2024-25 school year (must be able to demonstrate ability to swim 25 yards on first day of camp)
Beginner sailors learn basic sailing terms, knots, safety and how to rig a boat. On the water, students will start sailing sunfish and work their way up to catamarans.

Grade 4-8 as of the 2024-25 school year (must be able to demonstrate ability to swim 25 yards on first day of camp)
Intermediate sailors get a review of the basics then move to more independent time on the vessels. We’ll also cover wind, currents and safety skills.

Get ready to dive into a world of aquatic fun! Experience the excitement of Aquatics Camp, nestled on the scenic shores of Lake Michigan at Gillson Park’s Swimming Beach. Explore the shore while stand-up paddleboarding, embark on thrilling banana boat rides, and swim in our beautiful lake. NEW IN 2024: discover the thrill of kayaking with guided tours along the coastline and set sail on Fridays with our exhilarating sailing sessions! We’ll kick off your aquatic journey with a safety class by Northwest Passage, ensuring you’re ready to navigate the waters safely.

Find adventure on the water learning to paddle kayaks and SUP in both the Lake Michigan and Skokie Lagoons. Structured lessons and games introduce safety, build awareness and create an educational and exiting environment.

It’s Great Gillson for the older kids! Embark on an unforgettable summer adventure at Pathfinders Camp, tailored for 6th to 8th-grade campers. Explore new horizons with twice-weekly field trips, sharpen athletic skills through a variety of sports, and make a splash at Gillson Beach during our aquatic escapades. Join our inclusive camp community for a summer of self-discovery, friendship, and endless possibilities.

Campers spend the summer enjoying a variety of sports activities and beach/pool time. Athletic endeavors include soccer, basketball, tennis, baseball, kickball, Wiffle ball, dodgeball, floor hockey, volleyball, Olympic events and a whole lot more!

Looking to learn to skate or accelerate through the beginning skate classes of Basic Skills 1-6? Do you want to make faster skill progression through Basic Skill levels 3-6? This is the camp for you! A great way to cool down and learn to skate or accelerate your learn to skate experience. The day will be split into on-ice class time, off-ice conditioning, and supervised practice ice. Snacks and crafts will be provided during any rest periods we can grab!
Location: Centennial Recreation Complex, Studio Ice Rink

Participants in this on-the-court camp will learn various drills, skills, and how to properly play the game of basketball. We’ll focus on how to improve footwork, dribbling, passing, and shooting with exciting drills and activities!

The world’s fastest-growing sport is now a camp kids will love. Pickleball has been described as a combination of tennis, badminton & ping pong. The game is easy to learn and tons of fun. You’ll hit a ton of balls, work hard, meet new friends, and laugh a lot. You will leave camp with a new enthusiasm for the game and greater on-court self-confidence.

Grade 2-6 as of the 2024-2025 school year
Join us for a summer of pirate-themed tennis challenges! This camp teaches kids tennis fundamentals inside a board game format. Using volleys, groundstrokes, overheads and serves, kids attempt to beat the game. Athletic skills such as footwork, balance, and hand-eye are the keys to opening the treasure chest at the end of the game. Patrick “Sully” Sullivan, other senior tennis staff and elementary school teachers with a love of sports and kids are the instructors of this camp.

Players, get ready to have fun! Golfers will have plenty of time to learn the game, including swing fundamentals, etiquette, responsibilities of the player, and rules. We’ll have quizzes, skills challenges, course time and much more. This camp is great for junior golfers of ALL skill levels. The campers will be grouped by age and ability. Late summer sessions available.

Join Coach Eric and his friends at the Wilmette Plat-form Tennis Club for this unique sports camp! We engage campers in a smaller-group environment for an extremely positive and fun experience. Bring a water bottle, sunscreen, and a healthy snack. Activities our campers will enjoy throughout the week include: Sports Pickleball and Paddle Tennis: Learn the basics and develop your strokes for each racquet sport with a game-based approach; Soccer: Academy-style warmup training, 3v3, world cup, and many other games; Fitness Obstacle Course: Fun Ninja Warrior timed obstacle layouts; Fun Games Baggo: Age-old favorite, Pickleball/Golf: Combines both sports with a creative course; Pickleball/Hockey: Combines both sports; Soccer/Golf: Combines both sports; Paper Football: Classic game; Pickle-Volley Balloon: Simply fun.

With an emphasis on game play and friendly competition, campers enjoy fun tennis drills, tennis stroke contests, and singles and doubles match play. This camp is the perfect way to have fun in the sun while learning a healthy lifetime skill. Must be recommended by a tennis instructor or currently enrolled in an Excellence class.
