Date for THE Wilmette Block Party set for September 7

DATE FOR THE WILMETTE BLOCK PARTY SET FOR SEPTEMBER 7

5/8/24 – Wilmette, Illinois – The Wilmette Park District, Village of Wilmette and the Wilmette/Kenilworth Chamber of Commerce are bringing THE Wilmette Block Party to Wilmette again in 2024! 

The event is scheduled to run from Noon to 10 p.m. on Saturday, September 7 in the Wilmette Village Center. The community will once again enjoy exciting music, food, drinks, and kids’ activities.  

“I am so thrilled to call THE Block Party an annual tradition! The event has something for everyone – it is such a wonderful celebration that brings families, friends, and neighbors together,” stated Village President Senta Plunkett.

“We began planning for this year’s event as soon as last year’s ended. We’ll bring back some community favorites and have an amazing headlining band we will announce soon!” shared Park District Superintendent of Operations, Lindsay Thomas.

The event will again span the area around Village Center on Wilmette and Central Avenues as well as on the Village Green. “With our fantastic Village Center on full display, the Block Party is a great opportunity to check out our diverse array of retail shops and restaurants,” commented Jennifer Herren Gatesman, Wilmette/Kenilworth Chamber of Commerce Executive Director.
