Women of Note Concert

  • Friday, December 19 at 2:30 pm
  • At Mallinckrodt Center, 1041A Ridge Rd.

Women of Note, the spirited women’s chorus, will conclude their 2025 winter concert season with a free, public performance of “Happy Holidays” at the Mallinckrodt Center on Friday, Dec. 19 at at 2:30 PM. A reception with light refreshments will follow the program.

This year’s concert includes favorites like “White Christmas,” “Away in a Manger,” and “Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas,” as well as “Ocho Candelikas,” (a lively Hanukkah song), and carols from France and Spain. And as always, the audience gets to join the fun during the group’s mid-concert singalong.

“We’ve offered this public concert for many years,” notes Sharon Bussell, the group’s emcee, “and the audience has always been welcoming and enthusiastic,” she says. Esteemed Chicago music professionals Kaitlin Foley, music director, and Cody Michael Bradley, accompanist, have led Women of Note since 2018. Now in their 60th year, Women of Note has entertained senior audiences throughout the North Shore and Chicago. This year, the chorus also performed at senior residences in Evanston and Glenview.
