WEATHER UPDATE – January 23, 2026
With the severe weather anticipated 1/23, we’re making the following adjustments to programs and facilities for the day:

Pop-Up Ice Events
Join us at Centennial Ice Rinks on 1/23 for our scheduled Open Hockey, PLUS a pop-up Public Skate! Fees and rules are listed on our Public Skate page. Skate rental is available for $5.
- Open Hockey, 1/23 from Noon-1:30 pm, Main & Studio Rink
- Pop-Up Public Skate, 1/23 from 2-3:30 pm, Studio Rink (max 40 skaters)
Indoor Programs are a GO!
The majority of our indoor programs are currently running as planned on 1/23. We’ll see you inside where it’s toasty and warm! Any cancelled programs are listed below.
NOTE: Keep an eye on your email for changes and cancellations. We await determination on the status of all vendor programming. Unless you hear directly and clearly from the Wilmette Park District or an instructor, assume that all programming activities for the day are running as scheduled. Any cancelled programs will receive a refund for the missed day.
Cancellations & Closures:
- ‘Cool’inary Cooking Club has been cancelled on 1/23.
- Platform Tennis Club is closed for the day on 1/23.
- All Platform Tennis programs are cancelled on 1/23. Participants will be notified via email and receive a refund for the missed day.
- Basketball Practices at ALL SCHOOLS and the Community Recreation Center are cancelled on 1/23.
Pop-Up School Day Off
Wilmette Park District will be offering a School Day Off program: Rec at the Center to support families who need care for this unplanned day off school.
Program Details:
- Location: Community Recreation Center (3000 Glenview Rd)
- Time: 8 am–6 pm
