Breakout Dance Competition

What a weekend on stage!

The Dance Alliance team brought a remarkable presence to the Breakout Dance Competition, and the results reflected the strength, dedication, and talent that define this program.

From the first performance to the final awards, dancers delivered work that stood out. “Steal the Show” earned first in its category along with a fourth place overall finish and a Showmanship Award, while “Winter Song” received a fifth place overall ranking and a Choreography Award. “Yosemite” followed with a seventh place overall finish and recognition as an Emerging Artist. These moments were part of a larger showing that included several routines placing among the Top 10 Overall, reinforcing the team’s consistency throughout the weekend.

Judges’ awards highlighted the depth of performance quality across the board. “Mr. Cellophane” was recognized for “Flawless Fosse,” and “99” earned the title of “Mirror Image.” Soloists also made a strong impression, with “Dracula” and “Steal the Show” receiving Outstanding Solo awards that celebrated musicality and showmanship.

The Nova Team had a fantastic showing, earning Platinum, High Gold, and Gold awards along with a Top 10 Overall placement. Their growth, confidence, and energy on stage were evident in every performance. The Elite Team rounded out their season with a strong and consistent weekend, earning Platinum and multiple High Gold awards, with several routines placing in the Top 10 Overall. Their hard work in the studio carried through to the stage with clarity and control.

The Ultimate Team closed out the weekend with an outstanding performance. They earned multiple Platinum awards, highlighted by “Gilded Lily,” which received a Platinum Plus distinction, first in its category, first overall, and recognition as the highest scoring small or large intermediate group of the entire competition.
