Wilmette Community Band

Tuesday, July 22 from 7-8:30 pm
At Wallace Bowl in Gillson Park
All Ages

Wilmette Community Band has been open to all ages and skill levels for over 40 years. No auditions required! We play a variety of indoor and outdoor concerts throughout the year, at schools, senior communities, parks, and churches. In addition to our own concert series, we also perform for various civic events, including the Wilmette Memorial Day Ceremony, several 4th of July parades (on a float), and the Annual Grosse Point Lighthouse Concert in August.

The Wilmette Community Band is grateful for the generosity of the Evanston Immanuel Lutheran Church and Trinity Lutheran Church in providing places for us to rehearse. Without the support of these community organizations we would not be able to offer our program to our participants and audiences.

We are fortunate enough to have a large library of concert band classics including all your old favorites by composers like Gustav Holst, Percy Grainger, and John Philip Sousa, as well as many new additions to band literature from talented composers like Mark Camphouse and Frank Ticheli. Please check out our online library listing.

We are financed by modest voluntary dues paid by our members, performance honorariums, and contributions by supporters and members. (Donations to a 501(c)(3) not-for-profit organization such as the Wilmette Community Band are deductible as charitable contributions on the donor’s federal income tax return.)
