New Sign, Same Little Garden

We’re pleased to share that we recently installed a sign at the Learn & Grow Garden, making the name official! The engraved wooden sign was installed on Thursday, August 27, 2026.

It’s been nearly ten years since the eastern courtyard at the Community Recreation Center was renovated to feature raised garden beds, picnic seating, a rustic shed and entryway. Following the 2017 renovation, we hosted a public vote to name the new garden. Name suggestions were collected from the community and voting took place over the top three names in October 2017. The Learn & Grow Garden won the vote, and as the years went by it saw various stages of planting, programming and activities.

But something was missing… new visitors had no way of knowing the little garden had a name. So, in the summer of 2026, we designed a sign to identify the Learn & Grow Garden. Prominently displayed above the shed, the new sign is the finishing touch the garden had been waiting for.
