Registration Features Continue to Expand

11/26/24 – We strive to give you a smooth and efficient experience when browsing and registering for programs at the Wilmette Park District. That’s why we’re thrilled to announce two new features you’ll benefit from this season!

Introducing the New Automated Waitlist System

We launched a new Automated Waitlist System, designed to streamline registration and make securing your spot in our programs more accessible than ever.

Our waitlist system has always allowed you to “hold your place in line” if your desired program is full. Now, with our new automated system, the next person on the waitlist is notified directly via email as soon as a spot opens. You’ll see an email with the subject line, “WAITLIST ENROLLMENT offer inside – your WAIT is nearly over!” You’ll have a 48-hour window to accept or decline the offer, with a friendly reminder sent 24 hours before the offer expires. This means you’ll get faster notifications and a more seamless process for completing your enrollment.

You can view and manage your Pending Enrollments directly on our Registration Site for added convenience. Log in to your household account, go to “My Account,” and click “Pending Enrollments” to track your position on the waitlist and view active offers. It’s never been easier to see where you stand and respond quickly to enrollment opportunities.

What if you miss an offer? If the 48-hour window passes without action, your spot will be offered to the next patron in line, keeping the process fair and efficient for everyone. However, if you wish to rejoin the waitlist after the window expires, you can re-enroll, though you’ll be placed at the end of the list.

Visit the Waitlist FAQ to answer any questions you may have. Remember, for some programs, we’ll continue managing waitlists manually, with our team making phone calls to offer spots—perfect for instances where program progression requires a personal touch.

Program Page Upgrade, New Season Filter

With the release of Winter 2025 programs, we improved the Program Page filters. We reordered the filters based on community feedback, and there’s a new Season Filter to navigate quickly through different seasons!

When you open a Program Page, you’ll automatically view the latest season (in this case, Winter 2025), but now you’ll have the option to quickly switch seasons on the same page rather than clicking a button and loading a new page.

To view a different season, select it from the Season Filter drop-down list and click Apply Filters to refresh the page with your preferred season. Please note that while you can choose to filter by any of our seasons in the drop-down list, only active seasons will display program information.
