The Future of Rec in Wilmette: What Comes Next
COMPLETE OUR LATEST SURVEY – Now through 10/28!
Let’s Dig a Little Deeper!
Community input continues to guide The Future of Rec in Wilmette as the Park District moves into the next phase of its Comprehensive Recreation Facility Feasibility Study.
We have received strong community engagement so far. Over 1,100 residents completed our initial Community Engagement Questionnaire, providing feedback on recreation, facilities, programs and priorities. Additionally, more than 500 people participated in an interactive activity at the Wilmette Block Party, identifying preferred spaces, amenities and activities for an ideal recreation center.
That feedback helped give us the big picture. Now, we’re ready to dig a little deeper.
The next step is a comprehensive Recreation Feasibility Study Survey. It will focus on current facility use, areas of success, opportunities for improvement and future recreation needs.
The survey takes about 15 minutes to complete. Please consider the needs and perspectives of your entire household when responding.
This round of feedback is especially important, as it will inform the development of preliminary concepts for the Community Recreation Center, Centennial Recreation Complex and Big Tree Lane.
There are no predetermined plans or outcomes. Your input is essential to ensure the process reflects the needs of those who use our parks, facilities and programs.
We are incredibly grateful to everyone who has already taken part in this process, and we hope you’ll continue the conversation with us by completing this next survey.
Please complete the survey by Wednesday, October 28. All responses are confidential and will be combined with others. A summary of the results will be available on the Wilmette Park District project webpage this winter.
Your voice is helping shape The Future of Rec in Wilmette.
