Wilmette Park District Election Results

Wilmette voters turned out on April 1, 2025, to elect three commissioners to the Wilmette Park District Board of Park Commissioners, choosing from a field of six candidates.

Official results were reported by the end of the day, and we’re pleased to welcome Patrick Duffy, Allison Frazier and Kara Kosloskus for another four-year term.

Results reported on 4/1 at 9:33 pm:

  • Allison Frazier – 23.09%
  • Patrick Duffy – 21.57%
  • Kara Kosloskus – 19.44%
  • Paul McKinley – 14.27%
  • Nancy Johnson – 11.51%
  • Anastasia Royal – 10.11%

The three returning commissioners will take their oath of office during the Wilmette Park District’s Regular Board Meeting on May 12, 2025.

Meet the Candidates

The six individuals on the ballot brought a range of experiences and ideas to the race:

Patrick Duffy:

Real estate professional and current Park Board commissioner. Advocated for low taxes, broad community service and oversight of key lakefront projects.

Allison Frazier:

Incumbent commissioner and parent of five. Focused on accessibility, environmental initiatives and representing young families in Park District planning.

Kara Kosloskus:

Consultant and sitting board member. Campaigned on continuity, leadership during executive transitions and completion of capital projects.

Anastasia Royal:

Piano teacher and longtime Wilmette resident. Pushed for transparency, community input and protecting public access to local parks.

Nancy Johnson:

47-year Wilmette resident and realtor. Advocate for greater fiscal oversight, board accountability and more responsive communication with residents.

Paul McKinley:

Trader and first-time candidate. Emphasized data-informed decisions, staff retention and reinstating standing committees to improve transparency.
