Blocking Week

  • BLOCKING WEEK: May 19-24
  • During your dancer’s normal class time, our instructors will take them down to the stage to practice spacing and performance etiquette.

  • No Costumes. Attendance is highly encouraged.

No Dance Classes Monday, May 26-Saturday, May 31!

Dress Rehearsal

  • MANDATORY DRESS REHEARSALS: May 28 and 29 from 3:45-8:15 pm. See schedule below!
  • Dress Rehearsal is not in show order—please review rehearsal schedules to find your child’s time slot

Please come dressed in Full Costume, Hair and Makeup (info below!) to the theater. Parents are welcome to sit in the back of the theater and watch, or you may drop your dancer off. There will be a check in upon arrival to the theater. Please send only a water bottle, no snack allowed.

Professional photos will be taken during rehearsal as well. After your dancer is finished dancing they will be taken down to the studio for photos (a link will be sent in June for purchasing). After the photos you are free to check your dancer out if done early. ADULTS ARE NOT ALLOWED IN THE STUDIO FOR PHOTOS. You may sit in the hallway.

Costumes

  • Arrive at rehearsal in full costume, hair and makeup – COSTUME SHEET LINKS BELOW WITH ALL INFORMATION
  •  Tights will be distributed in class week of May 19.
  • Hair & Shoes: Hair accessories should be placed on the right side of the head. View your class costume link below for hair style and shoe type (coming May 19)
  • Makeup: Full set of makeup including mascara, earth tone eyeshadow (optional for age 6 and under) and red lipstick along with blush on the cheekbones. This is necessary as the strong stage lights wash out faces that do not have make-up. Dance Alliance members please do your performance make up.
  • Label your dancer’s name in every costume piece, shoes and tights.
  • Remove tags, jewelry and underpants.
  • Have plenty of bobby pins, hair pins, hairspray, hair nets, hair ties and safety pins.
